The garden is planned to be impermanent, with the hardest material decomposing fully within a few decades. The garden space is beautiful in its limited and changing experience.
A prefabricated block of natural materials is placed along the canal edge. As time passes the materials dissolve in varying rates, revealing new environments to interact and inhabit. The five material types have varying levels of durability, and one embedded material is fertilized dirt with pre-planted seeds that will then grow into a garden as the dirt layer is revealed and the encompassing layers are dissolved.
Every visit to the garden reveals an evolved landscape as the materials from the initial block dissolve. Continue visiting to experience the change or appreciate it once in uniquely un-repeatable state.
